About Srishti 2019
Saintgits College of Engineering, along with Saintgits Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Saintgits Industrial Research Centre, Kerala Startup Mission, National Instruments, Ram Caddsys Pvt. Ltd, ANSYS, Entuple Technologies, MathWorks, Xrevol Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Filanza InfoSec Pvt. Ltd, Mega solutions and Rezpohas organized the 6th edition of Srishti – National Level Innovative Project Exhibition and Competition on February 18 and 19, 2019.
The theme of Srishti 2019 was “Disruptive Technologies” which means displacing established technologies. Engineering students from various branches as well as MCA students throughout the country have participated and exhibited their innovative projects and competed for bagging prize money worth Rs. 5 lakhs.
Srishti 2019 received 1032 projects from 211 colleges and 17 states all over India. From these, 138 innovative projects were shortlisted for exhibition and competitions. There were 13 streams for competition: AI, AEI, CE, CHE, CSE, ECE, EE, FT, ME, MCA & Robotics. To recognize the analytical capability of students, MathWorks, ANSYS, Entuple Technologies and Ram Caddsys Pvt. Ltd. have sponsored separate cash awards for a total amount of Rs.1.15 Lakhs under the stream Analytical. In addition to the cash awards, the winning team in the stream “Do Engineering using LabVIEW” sponsored by National Instruments were eligible for free internship training, myRIO hardware etc.
The award function was conducted on February 19 from 4.00 PM to 5.30 PM. The function was presided over by Mr. Thomas T John, Director – Saintgits Group of Institutions, in the presence of Er. Punnoose George, Executive Chairman and Secretary – Governing Board. ,Dr. Sudhakara Reddy, Principal – Malla Reddy Engineering College, Telengana, Mr. Vishal B Kadam, Technical Officer, KSUM, Dr. Pradeep C, Principal – Mar Baselious Christian College of Engineering, Kuttikanam, Mr. M K Vidhyasagar, Product Manager, ANSYS – Entuple Technologies Pvt. Ltd and Mr. Abhishek Pandey, Account Manager – Mathworks
The BEST INNOVATION award of Rs.1,00,000/- was bagged by Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, Pondicherry for the project “Prevention of Fuel Tank Explosion”. The college also received the award for Best Institution. There were separate cash awards for the best projects in various streams such as AI,AEI,CE,CHE,CSE,ECE,EE,FT,ME,MCA &Robotics. Excellence awards for two schools from Kerala that had participated in ANCQ 2018 were awarded.
